Low expression levels
Negative tissue control
TissueLiverPancreasAppendix/colon
Description

All epithelial cells of bile ducts must show a moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining reaction.

The vast majority of the epithelial cells of the intercalating ducts must show an at least weak to moderate cytoplasmic staining reaction.

Note, epithelial cells lining the large ducts will show a moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining reaction and cannot be used to evaluate analytical sensitivity.

No staining reaction should be seen.

Note occasionally focal reaction of epithelial cells can be seen.

Endothelial cells can show a weak to moderate cytoplasmic staining reaction due to low CK7 expression levesl. The expression is not consistent and thus lees reliable as general control for analytical sensitivity.
