| Description | Virtually all Schwann cells and ganglionic satellite cells of peripheral nerves must show a moderate to strong, cytoplasmic and nuclear staining reaction. | The majority of follicular dendritic cells must show a weak to moderate, cytoplasmic and nuclear staining reaction (only seen for pAbs crossreacting with S100 Alpha).
No reliable low expression tissue/cells have been identified for S100 antibodies only reacting with the S100 Beta chain. Lipocytes might be used but at present not confirmed. | No staining reaction in epithelial cells in the epithelial mucosa. |
